Chenchen Wang

Research Fellow

Chenchen received her PhD at Nankai University (China) in 2021. During her PhD, her research focused on developing high-capacity cathode materials and the synergy of electrodes and electrolytes for sodium-ion batteries. Her work revealed the novel structure of electrode materials and interfacial phase after cycling in ether-based electrolytes. She started her research on the further development of ether-based electrolytes as a Research Assistant at the City University of Hong Kong in 2021.

In 2022, Chenchen joined the University of St Andrews and started her postdoctoral research working on high-performance layered oxide cathodes for sodium-ion batteries with Dr. Robert Armstrong on the Faraday Institution’s NEXGENNA project.

In her free time, Chenchen enjoys biking and hiking.
