Sathiya Panjalingam

Research Fellow


Sathiya received her bachelor’s degree in 2018 and her master’s degree in 2020 in Chemistry from Bharathiar University, India. She then worked as a research assistant in the Faraday Materials Laboratory (FaMaL) at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc). In 2021, she began her PhD at the MEET Battery Research Centre, University of Muenster, Germany, completing it in 2025 under the supervision of Prof. Martin Winter, with her research focused on organic polymer electrodes for lithium-based energy storage.

In 2025, she joined the University of St Andrews as a research fellow with Dr Robert Armstrong and Prof Russell E. Morris. She is currently part of the NEXGENNA project, working on the development of organic anode materials for rechargeable sodium-ion batteries.
