Max Stanzione

PhD Student

Max graduated from the University of Birmingham with an MSci in chemistry in 2022. His final year master’s project was spent working with Dr. Phoebe Allan and concentrated on exploring the use of germanium as an anode in sodium-ion batteries. The project involved investigating aspects of electrode formation and its subsequent impact on performance.

In 2022, Max joined the University of St Andrews and started his PhD, supervised by Prof. Russell E. Morris, Dr. Robert Armstrong and Dr. Julia Payne. His research is concerned with employing operando and in-situ characterisation techniques to study electrode materials for sodium-ion batteries.
