Pech Thongkam

PhD Student

Pech completed both his undergraduate and master’s degree studies in Chemistry and Applied Analytical and Inorganic Chemistry at Mahidol University, Thailand. Following graduation, he was employed as a research assistant for the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), including the National Metal and Materials Technology Centre (MTEC) and the National Nanotechnology Centre (NANOTEC), where he developed a particular interest in conducting research in energy materials.

In 2024, Pech started his PhD under the supervision of Dr. Robert Armstrong on the Faraday Institution’s NEXGENNA project. His research is focused on the synthesis and characterisation of low cost and sustainable positive electrode materials for sodium-ion batteries.
